Priestlands Bungalow is ideally located on the edge of town close to the facilities of Dumfries, with a rural outlook over grazed fields and the summit of Criffel. We are well placed for easy access to explore beautiful Dumfries and Galloway. This former farm worker's cottage has been upgraded to a high standard.
Our 3 bedroom single storey house has been renovated to provide comfortable, modern self catering accommodation. We can sleep up to 5 - the house has a double bedroom, a twin room and a single. A cot can also be provided on request. Sorry but we do not accommodate pets. The owners live next door at Priestlands Cottage, so are on hand to help if needed during your stay. Other houses are close by, but not too near. You can have your privacy, but you won't feel remote and isolated.

We are on the A710 Dumfries to New Abbey Road, just at the speed limits as you are leaving Dumfries. Turn right into the farm track and Priestlands Bungalow is the second house in. Park in the bay between the two houses. The key will be at Priestlands Cottage, the first house at the road end.
To reach us from the South/M6/M74, leave the motorway at Junction 22 and take the A75 west for Dumfries. After about 30 minutes you will reach a short stretch of dual carriageway, followed by single carriageway beyond which is a filling station, followed by a roundabout. Leave the A75 at this roundabout for Dumfries. Go through the town following signs for A710, Solway Coast. Cross the river, go through the lights at the top of the hill and keep straight on to a T junction. You will be facing the Rugby Club ground. Turn left, you will have houses on your left and fields on your right. Drive for a few hundred yards and you will see the end of speed limit signs where you turn right.
To reach us from the North/M74, leave the M74 at Moffat Junction 15 and follow the A701 for Dumfries. Go under the motorway and turn left at the next roundabout. In about 20-30 minutes you will reach the A75 Dumfries by pass. If you have SATNAV or a map you can make your own way through the town but the most straightforward way is to go right onto the bypass and take the next junction the A76, turning left and then straight on through the next two roundabouts (you will pass Tesco, KFC, Homebase on your right). Keep straight on till you reach lights at a T junction where there is a small group of shops including Farmfoods. Turn right here, go up the hill and take the third turn left, signed for Solway Coast and New Abbey. (Budget Tyres on your right). You are now in New Abbey Road. Keep straight on for about half a mile and you will see the end of speed limit signs where you turn right.
For an alternative route staying on the motorway longer leave at Junction 17 Lockerbie and follow signs for Dumfries A709. Your SATNAV may send you this way. Go through Lochmaben and the A709 will bring you to the Dumfries By Pass A 75, one junction further back from the route above. Leave at the next junction but one for A76 and proceed as above.
